Before, Net books or Laptops without an internal CD/DVD-ROM or malfunctioning CD-drive cannot install an Operating System without using an external CD-ROM. but now all we need is a USB Flash Drive.

Here are some advantages of using a USB Operating System installer:
1. Portable - No need for CD and external CD-ROM
2. Scratch Free - CD & DVD malfunctions if it has many scratches or dirt
3. Faster processing speed - Transfer rates: USB (Up to 92MB/s) CD-ROM (Up to 7.62 MiB/s) DVD ( 32 MB/s) Source: Wikipedia
