How to disable Windows Update in Windows Vista / 7

1. Go to Control Panel
2. In View by:, Select Small Icons

3. Find and Click Windows Update


4. Click Change Settings

5. Choose Never check for updates (not recommended), and uncheck Allow all users to install updates on this computer.
